Instructions:

Your report is an essay that includes the following analyses:

  • Formal, material and technical analyses of the work: describe the sensory and physical characteristics of the work; discuss of what and how it was made.

Format:

Submit to Canvas as a PDF, DOC, or DOCX a text that is approximately 1250-1500 words in length (5-6 pages), typed, one-inch margins, 12pt font, with numbered pages. Your report must include photographs of oeuvre and comparison object/s as well as your list of references in MLA format.

 

Evaluation Criteria:

  1. Argument: Quality of your thesis, reasoning, and use of evidence (50%).
  2. Knowledge: Your essay demonstrates thorough observation, research, and understanding of the selected work and context and uses correct terminology (30%).
  3. Mechanics: Clarity of your essay’s organization, correct grammar, follows directions (20%).
