 How do you assess clients or patient’s fitness level and overall wellness?

Functional evaluation is used as a tool for the trainers to understand the client’s fitness level, needs, physical limitations and baseline values.

What is your personal philosophy regarding fitness and/or wellness?

My personal philosophy is that Fitness is more than looking good. It’s feeling good on both the inside and outside.

What is your opinion regarding role modeling?  How are you a role model for your clients/patients?

When you are in such as role, nothing is better than living by example. My clients can always start by learning from my lifestyle.

Any challenges for your job?

Challenges depend on the kind of clients that you have. The more cooperative they are, the easier the work. Otherwise my schedule is also busy, but I am used to it.

Which categories of people will you advice to take fitness more seriously?

Everybody! But most importantly, those whose work doesn’t involve manual activities.


A good fitness program should have cross train which implies that one cannot keep on doing one activity all through. For instance, if you jog one week, you should ride a bicycle during the following week. Another aspect is improvement of balance (Fair, 2011). Better balance enhances the ability to control the body’s position and also prevent injury. Stretching and flexibility are critical as they promote mental health and also reduce stress. Strength conditioning is required for the development of every major muscle. Finally, aerobics are highly desirable to improve on pulse rate (Physical Best (Program), & National Association for Sport and Physical Education, 2011).
